I recently was given an opportunity to review the newly released America’s Most Wanted Recipes At The Grill by New York Times bestselling author, Ron Douglas.
Ron’s book starts out with Grilling Guidelines to get you started off on the right foot. He talks about everything from what to look for when purchasing foods to cooking temperatures and everything in between.
It’s not just a cookbook it’s a cooking lesson!
Next, Ron shares with us over 150 copycat recipes from favorite restaurants in the US.
- A & W
- Bahama Breeze
- Bob Evans
- Burger King
- California Pizza Kitchen
- Cheesecake Factory
- Chipotle Mexican Grill
- Cracker Barrel
- Famous Dave’s
- Olive Garden
- Panera Bread
- Red Lobster
- T.G.I. Friday’s
The book contains tons of recipes from your favorite restaurants you now can make in your own kitchen. No more heading out to a crowded restaurant to enjoy your favorite dinners.
If you love to grill out, this book is a must have!
I was super excited and couldn’t wait to get started when Ron’s book arrived in the mail. I browsed the book looking for that night’s dinner. Let me tell you, it wasn’t easy picking just one.
My first pick was Applebee’s Quesadilla Burger.
Oh my gosh! It was mind boggling! It tasted just like the burger from Applebee’s but better. Way better!
My next choice was Burger King’s Angry Whopper.
I was totally blown away with this copycat. It was simply spot on amazing! The Angry Whopper is the only sandwich I purchase from Burger King, ever! It’s my fave and in my opinion, the best sandwich they sell. The sad thing is, they only sell this particular sandwich once in a while. So I grab it when I can, well, not anymore! Sorry, Burger King, I can now make it at home.
The third recipe I tried was the Deluxe Grilled Chicken Sandwich from A & W.
Another awesome copycat! Tasty, juicy and oh so delish!
Did you notice the Diet A&W Rootbeer in the background?
This book is now my new favorite cookbook.
Cookbook includes, easy to follow recipes with step-by-step instructions.
For those of you that follow my blog, you know I love to find ways to save money. Now with Ron Douglas’s help, I can cook my favorite “dining out meals” at home. Thanks, Ron!
