Also, since it is available in three different grades of thicknesses, its thicker variants can be used for workers exposed to physical damage, while the thin-wall variant can be used for embedding in concrete. Also, though the plastic material of the conduit makes it resistive to corrosion and moisture, the non-conductive nature of the tubing requires an extra layer of conductor to be pulled into the conduit. One can also use special heating tools to heat and bend a PVC conduit in the field. Moreover, owing to the higher thermal co-efficiency of expansion of PVC conduits, it is advisable to mount it to give it the space required for contraction and expansion of each run.
