TGIF! It’s another Fab Friday over at Frosted Designs. This weeks challenge for the DT is Family. So for my project this week I created a simple but cute way to recycle and add awesome storage containers to my scrappy space. These containers have been sitting on my table just waiting to be decorated. I wanted a simple but photo perfect idea. I collected a few recent photos of my family and aligned them in a row. I then changed the photos from colored to sepia. After that I printed them out and trimmed them to the length to cover the cans. After that I wrapped them around the cans and secured them with tape. Using the Tim Holtz Tissue tape, I created a nice border for the top and the bottom of each of the cans. I selected a few of my favorite colors and inked the the paper and the Tissue Tape border. I then followed that with a few squiggles, hearts, and names for an added loving touch. Now while I am working in my scrappy space, I will be able to enjoy looking at my loved ones while I am thinking of what to do next.
