Today I am going to share with you a product you may have seen on TV. You know those as seen on TV products. Well I had to get my hands on this one.
Have you seen this ad? I am not one for hard boiled eggs. Well not as long as I am the one that has to do the peeling. I hate it! Egg shells are the worst. It never fails when I am peeling eggs either the shell will not come off and I end up taking it off piece by piece. Or even worse I end up ripping the eggs to shreds. I have tried everything and nothing works. I am usually so ticked off by the end of peeling I really don’t even care what the eggs look like. So with a product on the market like this you know I had to try it out.
I have heard some complaints saying it doesn’t work. Well I tried it out and it does. You have to keep in mind they will not turn out looking exactly like an egg. One side of the egg will be completely flat. If you want perfect little cups it is important that your eggies have plenty of room to float and not over lap with other Eggies. A couple of my Eggies overlapped a bit causing my eggs to come out a little crooked.
The directions say to grease both the top and bottom part of the container. This is a must. Just think about it, if you cook an egg you need a nonstick skillet or else it has to swim in some kind of cooking oil/butter. So you must coat the eggies so the eggs don’t stick. I think if you follow the directions they are a no fail.
I have only used my eggies once so far but I think it would be wise not to use any kind of abrasive scrubber on the Eggies either. I think scratched Eggies will cause the eggs to stick in the scratched areas. So clean with care!
Over all I think this product is pretty cool. It is a little time consuming greasing, assembling, and cleaning up. But so is peeling eggs and at least I can eat the eggs without biting into a stray shell.
Over all I think I am happy with my purchase.
Thanks for stopping by!
*noted…I was not paid or given anything for my opinion. I bought the eggies on my own free will and out of my own pocket.
