First we started with an old over-loved ladder from my father’s garage. We then held the ladder up against the archway and marked each rung where it met the top of the arch.
Using a saw we cut each rung and both ends to fit inside the archway. Ozzy our cat inspected our work and left his monkey behind with his approval.
To secure the ladder we used shelf brackets from Home Depot.
What I love the most about this project is the fact we can enjoy the decoration from both the living room and the dining room. The ladder adds interest to both rooms without creating separate projects.
Little by little and a few DIY projects our living space is becoming a comfy home.
Thanks for stopping by!

Just wanted to stop by and let you know that your ladder archway is my feature this week at Throwback Thursday. Please stop by anallievent.com and grab an “I Was Featured” button from my sidebar. Love the ladder!
LOVE your archway ladder…………..We have two archways that would be perfect for this project. I would stain the ladder ( as I don’t care for the rustic shabby look ). Thanks……….
