I love, love, love your pallet shed! We have an old shed that is literally falling apart in pieces! I think I am going to try this, we already purchased a much larger shed for all the junk we have, but I want to keep the old one for our bikes and all of my tools, art supplies, etc.! My question is how much help did you have? I don’t have any help, except for my son”s mother-in-law, she is very crafty and is always willing to help me! Thanks
How do you keep the top pallets stable? Thanks.
I attached boards overlapping the seams. So in other words, I covered the seams in the inside. A board would connect the top to the bottom and also the left side to the right side of the seam. Hope that makes sense.
I was wondering what you used to attach the pallet together for the walls, ie, nails or screws.
Thank you
I used screws to attach the walls and the roof.
thank you
Me again! I must say I really like what you have created! I have collected my pallets and am leveling an area to put up my own shed, I now need to get some screws etc to start my work. What size screws did you find best for strength connecting the walls? I was thinking 2″ to 3″ or would those be too short?
Again thank you for the inspiration.
Catherine
Hi, great job. Very creative idea. You could expand on this idea and make a larger building that could serve as a “tiny home” or place for one person to stay. With a small kitchen, living and dining room in one and a bedroom, could even expand to include a bathroom. Another idea, you could fill the pallets with closed cell insulation then put up the outside and inside walls and make a much more temperature controlled building. Slanted rood is a great idea, love the window and door treatment. I like the outside and inside walls as individual boards from the pallets.
Hi,
Love the project. The question that I have is did you put 4×4 in each corner attached to the pallets and then used the attached 2.4’s as the framing for the roof, windows and doors?
I read your complete project and think it is fantastic. Most of the sheds I’ve seen are no where near your project. I am definitely going to attempt to make your shed. After I tried to park my truck in my small garage and had to move out mowers, etc. Now they will have a new home! I will no doubt be contacting you again for advice. You did a marvelous job and it is WELL built, not tacky.
Thanks, Betty. Drop me an email any time. Good luck on your shed!
How many pallets did you need
Can you send me the plans you used to make this. I’m looking to build one for my goats but I need it to 20×30. Do you have any plans for this size and I would like it to be 10f high. I can’t find plans anywhere that are free. Can you also tell me the amount of materials I would need. I also would like it to have a 1/2 inch to an 1inch drop off the back for rain and snow removal. The inside I can figure out with the pens and electric and a water source. Thanks a bunch.
