The first project using the preserved leaves is a DIY Leaf Wreath. My door seriously needed some color and a little fall treatment. I had my eye on a few ideas but went settled for a DIY leaf project.
First you’ll need a bunch of preserved leaves. If you missed the post on how to preserve leaves you can find it here.
You will also need a wreath form and a hot glue gun and glue. I used a $3 straw wreath form from Walmart, but you can also use a Styrofoam wreath form as well.
Start attaching the leaves using the hot glue. Layer the leaves one by one by overlapping.
I attached a string to hang the leaf wreath and covered up the string with leaves. All that is left is to hang it on the front door.
The leaf wreath took only about 20 minutes to assemble with the leaves preserved ahead of time. Using hot glue eliminates dry time making the wreath ready to hang after the last leaf is attached.
Do you have a leaf wreath? Do you love to decorate with leaves for the fall holidays? If you do, leave a comment below sharing your fabulous decorations.
