Holey Christmas Cookies, Batman! Each day last week I picked a cookie to bake. It seemed like a better plan then spending an entire day baking cookies and spreading flour and sugar all over the house. Plus my girls were in school and that left me in the kitchen by myself without distractions. That’s a win-win situation my friend.
It ended up being more enjoyable and less stressful then the past years when I tried to cram all the baking into one long sugar coated day. By the end of the day I usually felt exhausted, in a cranky mood and totally cookied out. This year was so much better.
The cookie line up:
Day One
Day Two
Day Three
Day Four
Day Five
Day Five- continued with help from the kiddos
That’s a lot of yumminess in one house. My girls were home on the fifth day to help with the cutout cookies. Other then the constant bickering between the twins, it was productive day. It was a lot of work but they accomplished the task without killing each other or covering each other in frosting.
After cleaning up the frosting mess, the girls and I divided up the cookies on decorative plates to pass out to family and friends for Christmas. We even set aside a tray of cookies for our New Years Eve get together, not that we probably won’t have any cookies left by then. Seriously, my freezer is full of yummy cookies.
I’ll be sharing the recipes for the Snickerdoodles and Grandma Smith’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes over then next two days as we quickly approach Christmas.
Are you ready for Christmas? I’ve been ready! Let’s get this party started.
Thanks for stopping by!
