Supplies

Mesh ribbon

Fabric paint

Stencil or die-cut machine, font cartridge and acrylic sheet

Scissors

Tape

To create the Merry Christmas Garland, I purchased a roll of mesh from Walmart located in the Christmas isle.  The roll was 18 inches in length and roughly 8-9 inches wide.  With a pair of scissors, cut the ribbon in half longways. 

Using my Cricut Machine, I cut out the letters to spell Merry Christmas out of acrylic sheets.  I was only able to do a few letters in a row because each letters were about 2.5 inches tall.  If you don’t own a die-cut machine stencils will work just fine.

I added a few pieces of tape to hold the stencil in place while I worked.  Trust me it helps out a lot.  If you don’t secure the stencil it can move and cause your letters to be off a bit. 

Lightly dab paint to fill the stencil.

If you own a die-cut machine the sky’s the limit.  Use your favorite sayings, quotes or images to decorate your tree.
