Weight Loss is a popular new year resolution and an easily broken one. I’m a huge fan of Weight Watchers and the system works wonderfully, but what if you can’t afford Weight Watchers or you really just don’t want to fork out that money to diet. Today, I’m sharing with you a really cool system that’s available online and for free. Not only is it available online, it has an app too.
You can easily link your iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android with your online account. By linking up you can log your intake and exercises whenever you wish. It’s simple and easy to do. You can even purchase a wifi scale that submits your weight, muscle mass and fat mass to your iPhone or computer for you. The scale can be linked to your Lose It account making it even easier to keep track of your progress.
To get started, create your account and fill in your information. Then fill in your goal weight. Lose it will give you a road map of how long it will take you to safely reach that weight.
Lose it will then give you your food budget for the day. This is the amount of calories you can consume in a day and still lose weight. Don’t go running for the hills because it uses calories and not points. They will figure the calories for you. You click on the food item, portion and it tells you how many calories for that item. It’s really that simple.
To add food, click or tap on the plus sign and type select a category to search the database for that food. Your food choices are saved and can easily be used in future meals. You can also add your own recipes for easy retrieval and no more guessing. If you enjoy the same breakfast every day, it includes a repeat a meal feature to add the entire meal or just part of the meal. Your database grows as you add food.
As shown in the picture above, Lose It tracks your intake per meal and also the entire week. It will also show you % of fat for the day or how much sodium you’ve taken in, all by a click of a tab.
As shown on the phones you will see your budget for the day, food (what you’ve consumed), exercises and how many calories you have available for the rest of the day.
Dieting alone isn’t fun! Lose It also has a community, forum and you can add friends to your app. No worries, you can limit the information your friends are able to see. You can even join challenges with other Lose It members online too. You can use the support system or head on a path by yourself.
I don’t receive any type compensation for this post. It’s an app, in my opinion, worth having! It’s simple to use and I have it with me all the time.
