I decided to take a break from kitchen planning and blog designing to whip something up in the kitchen. Do you ever feel like cooking? I’m talking about breaking that normal routine and whipping up something for the family that is out of the norm and homemade yumminess.
As of late, I’ve been in the mood for American Chinese. Why, I have no reason? Do I need a reason, no?
My hubby loves Crab Rangoon and they’re also a huge hit with the rest of the family. They are super easy to make and so flavorful!
Cream cheese, green onions, and crab… OH MY!
Assemble with care.
Ready for the fryer!

These yummy delights are sure to be a hit at any party, family get together, or just because you feel like a little American Chinese yumminess. Thanks for stopping by!
Homemade Crab Rangoon
60 servings
60 wonton wrappers
2 pounds cream cheese
2 pounds crab meat (cooked)
6 green onion (chopped)
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
Allow cream cheese to soften slightly. Chop Green onions.
Place cream cheese in mixer and whip for about a minute. Add chopped onion, cooked crab meat and spices. Whip on medium speed until creamy.
Place one Wonton Wrapper on work surface. Dip finger into the bowl of water and trace the left and top side of the square. Add a small amount of cream cheese mixture to the center of the wrapper. Then fold the bottom right corner to meet the upper left corner to create a triangle. Gently press along the two edges to seal in cream cheese mixture.
Pick up the folded triangle and gently gather both sides till they meet the center point. Pinch point. Set aside and repeat with remaining wrappers.
Heat oil in the pan. When the oil is hot, slowly add a handful of Rangoon to the pan. Fry for about 3 min. Remove and place on paper towel. Serve hot!
