Kitchen Planning: Tools
In order to build my new cabinets, I’ll need to purchase a few tools and maybe update a few of the tools I already own.
I’m planning on using plans from Anna White to build my cabinets. If you haven’t checked out her site, you must. If you want to build something for your home she has the plans. You can search by room, project and price. Anna is about to film her first HGTV pilot this spring. I can’t wait to see her in action on HGTV. Check her out!
One tool I really need to purchase because Anna uses it a lot and highly recommends purchasing one is the Kreg Jig. She uses this tool to assemble most of her cabinets and other building projects. It’s a must have and top of my list of tools to purchase.
The next tool is a router. I need a router to give my cabinets a detailed finish.
I would like to purchase a jig saw for intricate cuts.
I would also like to purchase a table saw and a new miter saw. The one I have is starting to become really old and we’ve lost a few of it’s screws making it function incorrectly.
The right tools for the job is very important. The only main tool I will need to purchase will be the Kreg Jig but the other tools would make my life a lot easier. Oh, and I need a new battery for my Dewalt Drill. Yep, that’s up at the must have list too.
The only store I really love to stop at is the local hardware store. I’m really serious when I say I could get lost in there for hours.
If you have any tools suggestions, thoughts or just want to say hi, leave me a message in the comment section. Thanks for stopping by!
