Wow, can you believe summer is almost over and the kids are back to school? Where did the summer go?
Can you believe we only have three days till September 1st? I sure can’t.
Just think, snow will be flying very soon and instead of sweat rolling down our cheeks we’ll be bundled from head to toe. Well, at least those here in the US.
The thought makes me cringe, I hate cold weather!
Anyways…
Let’s flash back to the best of summer 2014.
Without a doubt, my favorite project this summer was the Herringbone Pattern Pallet Deck. It was a lot of work, but well worth it.
Let’s not forget about the other pallet additions to the deck. The Pallet Counter and the Pallet Bar.
How about my garden… Pallet Garden.
Vegetables popping up everyday!
I love my garden and all of the fresh veggies it’s produced this year.
Having a garden and producing my own veggies has got me thinking. I’m thinking about expanding my garden to a full in ground garden next year. Why not? It saves money and since my work schedule is limited during the summer months, I will have more time to take on a garden.
If you follow me on Twitter you know I’ve started pinning canning recipes and how to’s.
My mission next spring is to start a nice sized garden and to relearn the canning process. Why relearn? Well the last time I canned anything was when I was a little girl. Yes, it’s been that long.
Do you have a garden? Do you preserve your fruits and vegetables? Got any advice, tips or ticks to share? I would love to hear from you, leave a comment below or email me.
