Happy New Year!
I’ve been dying to turn a whiskey bottle into a soap dispenser, but I always seem to have a million other projects to do. So when I was challenged by the Creative Challenge Team to make a recycled project using a soda bottle or some kind of bottle, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
This project is super easy and only takes a minute to complete. That’s my kind of project!
First, you will need an empty whiskey bottle, your favorite bottle of dish soap and a dispenser from a soap/lotion bottle. You can also purchase a pump at your local department store if you wish.
Make sure your dispenser tube reaches the bottom of the jar or you will have to continue to add soap to keep the level high enough to work.
Rinse the whiskey bottle out with soap and water, nobody wants soap that smells of whiskey.
Well, if it smelled like tequila, I could handle that. I love the smell of tequila. But, that’s a whole-nother topic.
Pour soap into the bottle and screw on the pump dispenser.
There you have it, a recycled project using a leftover whiskey bottle from the New Year Eve bash.

Oh what a great idea! and just think of all the different types of bottles you could use! I bet if you hit up a bar you could get some really cool bottles for free!
I love it! I think what I like most is the label is so vintage looking that this soap dispenser appears to be a costly item. (I’m doing this!)
This is awesome, and I bet it looks great on your sink! 🙂
Thank you! It does look awesome.
This is awesome! There are so many awesomely shaped liquor bottles that I would love to buy just for the bottle. My husband has agreed to drink whatever I need him to so that I can have the bottle. LOL
I totally agree with you. I’ve seen some pretty awesome bottles and thought what do I do with the contents. LOL Tell your husband he’s the ultimate team player. I’m glad you liked them and thanks for commenting.
I would never have thought of that in a million years! I wasn’t sure I was a believe when you said whiskey bottle – but I just love how it turned out!
Too clever and adorable. Thanks for sharing and Happy 2015!
Thank you, I’m glad you like it.
I love this! This would be perfect in my husband’s shop. Thanks for the great idea!
So super cute! I love it!!
This is a great idea! I’m going to try this. I wonder if it would work with a twist top wine bottle…
Oh how SIMPLE! I love that. I can do this without wanting to rip my hair out! Now all I need is to finish that bottle of whiskey… 😉
I would love if you linked this up on my blog for Crafty Chaos Tuesdays! Thanks for sharing!
Easy enough! Great idea.
Very cute idea!
what a great idea! I have a lovely Connemara whiskey bottle I am going to do this with….all I have to do is finish the bottle!
This is awesome! I’ve been keeping my mouth wash in an empty Patron bottle (beautiful, hand-blown bottles), but whiskey is my drink of choice. 😛 Pinned and stumbled!
I found you on The Creative Exchange. Thanks for sharing!
Great idea but, I may suggest to put the label, “this is a bath (or hand) soap, this is not for drinking” in order to avoid misunderstanding in the guest bathroom if innocent children or teenagers drink this wrongly. Hope this helps 🙂
I don’t have much to do with whiskey, but I REALLY like what you did with that bottle LOL Thanks for joining us at the #HomeMattersParty! We hope to see you again next week 🙂
Came to you from TT&J link party. This is definitely my kind of project. Easy, fast and inexpensive. It’s nice to see a project that would appeal to men too.

Clever idea. Fun, functional, and a great conversation piece! Thanks for sharing it with SYC.
hugs,

Super fun idea.
Found you on Link Party Palooza.
This is so neat! I would never have thought it’d be so easy to turn a whisky bottle into a soap dispenser!
I love this! Thanks so much for stopping by Creative Spark Link Party. Hope you stop by again today! http://bit.ly/1ybfEwi
How do you find pumps to fit?
I love this for my daughter in law! I think I’ll spray a sealant on the label. It will protect it from slowly washing off.
Hey what size pump top did you use? I’ve tried a few different tops and can’t find one that fits.
It is amazing! There are so amazingly shaped Bourbon bottles that I would love to buy just for the bottle. My wife has agreed to drink whatever 🙁 I need him to so that I can have the bottle.
