Hey, welcome back!
Last week I was pretty busy working on a few outdoor projects.
A few weeks ago, I shared with you our new pool. If you missed the post you can read it at Intex Pool.
When you add a pool to your backyard it’s likely you will need a fence for safety purposes. No matter if you’re trying to keep people out or keep them in, a fence is a must.
Most insurance companies will require some type of fencing around the pool.
Luckily, our backyard was almost completely fenced in. The left front corner of the backyard was the only area that needed a fence.
The easiest way to put up a privacy fence is to use metal fence post braces.
It’s easy to install. All you need is the brace, post and a sledgehammer. Oh, don’t forget lots of mucles.
Measure out the area for the fence. Determine where your first post needs to be placed. Pound the brace in using a spare piece of 4×4 that has been inserted into the brace. Using a sledgehammer, drive the brace into the ground.
Then, remove the section of 4×4 from the brace and insert the desired fence post. Keep adding posts, every 8ft till the desired area is complete.
All that’s left is to attach the fence panels to the posts using screws.
If you need to add a gate, leave an open space. I simply used a leftover section of fence and attached the section using two hinges with a latch for an easy gate. You easily purchase a gate to match your fence. But, I decided to use create my own to save money.
It’s super easy to do and takes very little time. No need to dig holes and add concrette. The braces make it super easy to add a fence.
PIN ME FOR LATER!
Now all that is left is to update the rest of the fencing. Hmmm, that will be a great project for next summer. For right now, we’re going to enjoy our pool!
Thanks for stopping by!
