Where do I find free pallets for projects? That’s a really great question. In fact, the most asked question. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen that question on Facebook, pages and forums.
Just ask! That sounds easy enough.
Start by driving around your city. Keep your eye open for stacks of pallets behind businesses.
When you find pallets, ask the manager or owner for their disposal policy. Some businesses will be happy to give you pallets. You won’t know till you ask.
Some companies recycle their pallets, pay a deposit or they’re committed to another company for disposal. So always ask someone in charge before taking any pallets.
With 2 billion pallets floating around you’re bound to find them somewhere.

- construction zones
- restaurants
- schools
- pet and feed stores
- paper printing companies
- hardware stores
- nurseries
- furniture stores
- craigslist
