Please welcome today’s guest post 5 Creative Designed Lamps by Will from Parrot Uncle.
Lamps are our best company at night. They are not only tools for illumination but also decorations for rooms and spice of life. Nowadays more and more designers have infused their conceptions into lamp designing, striving to build a world of better lighting. Lamps are no strangers to us, but some are so distinctively designed that they are mind-blowers for first-time viewers. Below are some examples I want to show you.
1. Magic Water Lamp
This magic water lamp features a peculiar structure: the outer layer is an orb shaped glass tank and the light bulb is submerged in the water. It is turned on when the wire of the controlling switch is dipped into water. The emission light is softened by water and can, therefore, create agreeable ambience. The closed circuit guarantees safety and prevents users from being electrocuted or shocked.
2. Fruit Tray Lamp
A Fruit tray is not only a necessity for treating guests but also a decoration in our daily life. The designer borrows the idea of fruit tray and comes up with this set of fascinating colorful lights. When activated, these lights exude brightness and mellowness of fruits, adding a cozy and romantic atmosphere to the room.
3. Invisible Wall Light
Unlike common wall lights that are fixed on walls, this invisible wall light is actually buried in the wall. You will hardly notice its presence at day time. As you see in science fictions, with a mere flip of a switch the light shows up from the wall and is turned on. It’s ideal to present a futuristic appeal to your home.
4. Light Bulb Shade Light
Back in the old days incandescent hanging lights, or light bulb as many calls them, were the most popular lighting fixtures. They are not very common now, for many of their functions have been replaced by more energy efficient fluorescent or LED lamps. To evoke good memories associated with the outdated light bulbs, the designer ingeniously makes the lamp shade into the shape of an incandescent light bulb. The hollowed-out carving reinforces the hip appeal.
5. Fresco Shadow Light
Apart from brightness, the lighting effect of lamps is often neglected, but not this one. The finely crafted shade is pervasive with hollowed-out patterns of various shapes and sizes. When the light is illuminated, light penetrates through the shade and forms dream-light frescos on the walls. It is just as artistic as it is functional.
