Designing and Building a Walk-In Closet
Sitting down with your contractor a beautiful walk-in closet is drawn out to your specifications. On both sides of the closet are long metal rods to hang any length of clothing. On the back, the wall is four big, deep shelves for shoes, purses, and hats. On another wall in the closet are several hooks, to hang more purses, belts, and scarves. The closet is to be big enough for two people to enter there together to choose what to wear, instead of having to wait for each other. A big room like that also contributes to easier time doing home cleaning chores there, as you can maneuver with your cleaning service tools without worry. In the upper part of the closet are big, wide, flat shelves to store out of season clothes in large bins. There are two wide doors that open in the middle to provide entry into the closet with ease.
Now that the walk-in closet has been finalized the construction of the walk-in closet can now begin, which causes a considerable amount of dust and debris. After working, caring for the family, attending a variety of church or school functions the decision was made to check out a few cleaning services to assist with the house cleaning during the construction. The cleaners had several years of home cleaning experience and by doing their job when the construction was done for the day made the work much faster.
Since the walk-in closet is big enough to fit a lot of items, one of the most important features is lighting. It is important being able to choose the correct clothing for any time of the day or night, and proper lighting ensures that. With the walk-in closet being so huge it is best that a light should be at the front and back of the closet with the switch on the outside wall next to the closet door. That way the switch can be flicked just before entering the closet so that people can immediately see what they are looking for inside.
What walk-in closet features are implemented depends on the needs and requirements. There could be rafts for shoes and other items, racks for clothes and hangers for outfits that should not be folded. Drawers for belts, socks, and other such clothing could also be implemented, as they are a convenient way to store the items and keep them out of the open where they can collect dust.
The construction crew completed the walk-in closet with the final touches, leaving behind a happy couple. The cleaners came in one last time and once they finished the couple was finally able to enjoy their new, clean walk-in closet.
