We are heading into a busy time of year, with so many holidays upon us and things that we need to organize. Making plans for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas will keep us on our toes, and then there are those of us with birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions and commitments to plan for. Phew, we feel tired just thinking about everything! One thing is for sure we need to make plans and get organized so that we can enjoy everything, which is why today we are sharing with you 3 things to do this month. These will help to put you ahead of the game and stay on top of everything over the coming weeks.
Prioritize those jobs around the home
We all have those jobs and chores around the home that we keep meaning to do. They just seem to slip to the bottom of our to-do list every month, but not anymore. Make this the month that you prioritize those jobs around the home.
Write down everything that you keep meaning to do and then make a note of who needs to do what. In some cases it will fall to you, but you might need others in the home to help or perhaps you need to call in an expert to get the work carried out.
Set aside some time to make a few phone calls to local tradesmen and get those professionals booked in. Whether you need a blocked drains specialist or a roofer, make those appointments and tick the jobs off your list.
Start writing Christmas lists
This is always one that it is worth making an early start on if you have not done so already.
You will want to begin drawing up lists for several different things. You will want lists of everything that you have bought or are buying for people. It can be so easy to forget things that you have safely stashed away, so make a point of adding to these lists whenever you buy anything. You will then want lists of gifts ideas, food to buy, activities to book in and events that you need to confirm with friends and family.
By preparing and planning how it should ensure that you can relax and enjoy the festivities.
Tidy up the backyard
This is the month to get outside and tidy up your backyard. You will want to have this task completed before the colder weather sets in and makes the job more difficult. It is also nicer to be working outside in milder weather as if it is freezing cold you are less likely to make an effort to get out there!
Put away everything that you will no longer need for a few months, such as tables and chairs, parasols and outdoor toys. Clean them off ready for them to go into storage for a few months and wipe down and tidy up any play areas.
Give your grass one more mow and rake up any leaves to prevent them from mulching your garden.
Cut back any hardy shrubs and bring in any pots, hanging baskets and bulbs that need to come out of the cold for a few months.
