The vast majority of us find mornings hard. Whether you wake at 5 AM or 8 AM, getting up and ready for work can be a chore that doesn’t always get easier. Unfortunately, the body’s wants and needs can’t always align with that of a busy working life.
However, if we can’t change, we can adapt our homes to making mornings that bit easier. Say hello to more convenient, stress-free and even, dare we say, fun mornings.
Breakfast Bar
A kitchen breakfast bar comes in many shapes and forms. Adding some high chairs to your kitchen counter, upgrading a kitchen table, or installing an island are all effective ways to bring the breakfast bar to you.
This piece of furniture means you can have your breakfast items already set up for each day, saving the usual prep time for something else. If you’re usually trying to get children ready for school, then having a place where they can have their breakfast may help establish a routine. It also will give you the reassurance that they are filled and fuelled for the day.
Vanity Unit
Upgrading the vanity unit in the bathroom will feel like a blessing, saving you time in the morning and helping to manage clutter. Vanity units help keep bathroom items where they need to be and stop unnecessary rushing. Think of a vanity unit like a filing cabinet. Each item can have its own designated space, and it can tidy up your entire bathroom. This will also help prevent trips and slips!
Bathroom vanity units can be bought in a variety of sizes, styles, and formats to suit your home and your family.
Walk-In Wardrobe
A walk-in wardrobe is a dream when it comes to clothing storage. Whilst having one fitted into your room is ideal, this isn’t always affordable. But did you know you can buy a “walk-in” wardrobe? These pieces of furniture come open, so your clothes are easy to spot and sort.
If your clothes are all hung up and visible, this will reduce ironing time as well as sorting. There’s nothing worse than getting hot and bothered around trying to find the clothes you want to wear
Wall Clocks
We don’t need to explain why these would make your mornings easier! Have you ever been so concerned with finding the device that has the time that you waste even more time?
Getting a wall clock for each room, or at least the most utilized ones will help you keep an eye on the time. Time management is a skill and a skill needed most for mornings, we’ll say.
A Speaker or Radio
This isn’t so much for practicality but for brightening up the days when it’s hard to get out of bed. There is a generous range of portable and remote-controlled speakers and radios, meaning you don’t even have to get up to start your music.
A playlist devoted to the mornings to cheer up the whole house will create a great mood and hopefully get everyone up and energized. Alternatively, maybe you need the news or traffic to plan the rest of your day. Getting a radio in your home can help you keep on top of just that.
Heated Towel Rack
No one realizes how much of a godsend a heated towel rack is until they have one. We all know those half-awake zombie showers too well. It’s incredibly hard to motivate yourself for a shower some mornings. On those days, knowing you’ll have a warm towel to jump in afterward can be a great relief. It may even save you time on your showers since many of us tend to linger when it’s too cold to get out, wasting valuable time.
